On-site Scour Test and Verification of Geotextile Protection Construction Method for Dajia River Bridge on National Freeway No. 3

本計畫針對地工織布應用於橋墩基礎保護工法,以國道三號大甲溪橋為研究對象,進行現地地工織布保護工法鋪設,以及試驗橋址進行保護工法的沖刷穩定度觀測,評估織布保護工法之成效,以現地試驗方式來驗證本所過去的研究成果,透過觀測之資料評估結果顯示,地工織布能有效阻斷向下滲流掏刷而保護鼎型塊穩定之作用;此外,本計畫同時以室內水工模型試驗,研擬地工織布保護工法鋪設斷面改善方案,以提供國道高速公路局未來鋪設橋墩基礎保護工法決策之參考。

The present research focuses on the application of geotextile fabrics to the protection of bridge pier foundations, with the Dajia River Bridge on National Freeway No. 3 selected as the research object. The laying of the on-site geotextile protection construction method, and observation was conducted on the test bridge site for the scour stability of the protection construction method to evaluate the effectiveness of the fabric protection construction method.The evaluation results of the data observed this research showed that the geotextile fabric can effectively block the downward seepage whereby to protect the stability of the tripod blocks. The present research also involves the contemplation on the improvement on the pavement section of the geotextile weaving method by indoor hydraulic model test, to provide a reference for the National Freeway Bureau’s future decision-making in protection methods for pier foundations.
